Kalinga University, Raipur is a prestigious
Educational Institute in Chhattisgarh that focuses on the holistic development
of the students and thus facilitate the students to enhance and develop
practical skills, techniques, or ideas which they can use in their work or
their daily lives. To take this endeavour ahead, the Faculty of Science,
Department of Biotechnology, Kalinga University organised an International Conference
on 22nd October, 2021 on the topic “Sustainable
Development and Recent Advances in Biotechnology and Bioscience KU-ICBT-2021”. The keynote speaker
for the International Conference was Dr. Bushra Saadoon
Mohammed Alnoori, Baghdad University, Iraq
and Invited talk was delivered by Dr. Keshav Kant Sahu, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla
University, Raipur and Dr. Latika Bhatia from Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavudyalaya,
Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India.
The International Conference was marked by the
eminent presence of the University Vice-Chancellor- Dr. R. Shridhar,
Director General- Dr. Byju John, Registrar- Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Dean Student
Welfare- Dr. Asha Ambhaikar, Dean Academic Affairs, Faculty members, Research
Scholars and students and participants from across the globe. Opening of ceremony was
done by Dr. Sushma Dubey, Head of the Department with the welcome address.
Program was started with virtual lamp lightening ceremony with the blessings of
Goddess Saraswati. Vice Chancellor of Kalinga University shared his views on
the occasion and appreciated all the participants. Dr. Sandeep Gandhi also
blessed the event. All the speakers of Keynote session shared their knowledge
on Sustainable Development on recent advances in Bioscience and Biotechnology.
All the presenters of oral and poster presentation shared their work related to
protecting the environment and contributing in the sustainable development by
the use of technology in diversified fields. The thoughtfulness of all the
speakers from reputed Institutes across the globe received outstanding response
as it was very informative and educative. The participants were highly benefitted
by the insights and shared positive feedback regarding the event. At the end of
all the presentations, prize winners of oral and poster presentation was
announced. Dr. Sushma Dubey, Head of Biotechnology Department concluded the
International Conference by expressing vote of thanks to all the Dignitaries of
Kalinga University, Sponsors of the event, members of advisory committee,
Speakers of the Keynote sessions and Invited Talks, participants across the
globe. On this event, the e-abstract book was also published.
Dr. SushmaDubey, Head of the Department of
Biotechnology was convener of the event, Dr. Varaprasad Kolla, Dean, Faculty of
Science, Dr Anju Meshram, Assistant Professor, Mr. Dilendra Chandraker
Assistant Professor and Ms. Nirali Budhbhatti Assistant Professor, were in the
organizing committee of the same. The academically enriching event concluded
with the National Anthem of India.
